- Monster flipbooks: Students will create up to 12 monsters and fill in the missing numbers on the monster shape. They will then put them together to create a flipbook. This activity would make a great bulletin board activity, as well as a great partner or small group activity.
- Number-Order Puzzles: Students will solve nine puzzles arranged in the number order from 1 to 1,000. Putting the numbers in order will create an image of different monsters.
- Monster Hundred Chart Craft: Create a monster that holds number charts. There are number charts that already have the numbers and ones where students will write the numbers.
- I Can Count to 1,000 Wall Display: Create a large wall display with all of the hundred charts. Students can also take a version home. You can display all of the charts or the one you are working on that day.
- Monster Number Order Activity Cards: Students will continue the number order of a given monster number. They will add cards from 1 to 1,000 to the monster number cards; if they are laminated, students can write the numbers in the boxes.
